Young Puerh
We travel each year to the tea mountains of Yunnan to press our own Puerh Tea cakes. We stay with the farmers and oversee the picking, processing and pressing of our own-label puerh cakes.
All of our young puerh teas are from ancient trees, growing wild without the use of any chemical pesticides or fertilisers. The tea is handpicked and completely hand processed in the traditional manner.

2005 Gan En Lao Banzhang Puerh Tea
The tea displays a pure, clean flavour, still with the strength of youth, but thick and active in the mouth and throat.
The huigan (sweet and complex aftertaste) is excellent and long lasting.
For those wishing to know the true taste of old tree Lao Banzhang tea, I can highly recommend this tea.

2011 EoT Gushu Shu Puerh
The tea is exceptionally pure. The wodui (fermentation) flavours are just beginning to subside (July 2011) and the characteristics of the tea are becoming more apparent. The flavour is smooth, thick and pure, with a slight edge of bitterness from the blended leaves apparent in the first few infusions. The qi is strong and warming. As the infusions progress, the tea evolves gracefully, becoming even more sweet and pure towards the later infusions.Starting at: £0.14 per gram

2011 EoT Mansai Puerh Tea
The flavour is thick and pure, with a hint of bitterness transforming into a long sweetness in the mouth. The tea is balanced throughout the mouth and throat, with the strong qi immediately present upon drinking.
I'm happy with this tea this year. As with all old tree puerhs, the price of the raw leaves was a little higher this year, but I feel the trees have benefited from more rain this year (compared to last year's drought) and the leaves are stronger with more qiStarting at: £0.14 per gram

2011 EoT Nannuo Puerh Tea
This year we selected a different village from previous years and arranged the processing of the fresh leaves ourselves. These leaves come from 4-500 year old trees, growing naturally near Douyizhai, the highest village on Nannuo mountain. The trees were left for 5 years unpicked and were picked last year for the first time. We supervised (and helped with) the picking of the leaves and brought the fresh leaves off the mountain to process by hand.Starting at: £0.16 per gram
