Stored in Malaysia since the 1950's, this top grade ('Ding Ji Yuan Du') Liu Bao, this 50kg basket of Liu Bao was originally imported to be drunk by the managers of the pewter mines. It is a higher grade than that usually made and imported to be drunk by the miners.
The flavour is deep and rich, with the characteristic medicinal/woody tones of Liu Bao.
The qi is strong.
This tea can be seen featured in the book - "Lao Liu Bao Tu" (Pictures of Old Liu Bao), published by Chop Xiang Xing, Malaysia

interesting Review by tom
Was curious to try such an old tea and thought the price was good. Liu Bao not usually my favourite but the more subtle flavour actually allows the qi and "oldness" to come out more. Worth trying at least once. (Posted on 27/11/2011)

Special tea Review by Žiga
This is a very special tea. Although the price is high, I think that this is a good choice for the tea drinkers to try how such a old tea taste like. I probably won't buy this again, because of the price, but it was a good learning experience. (Posted on 28/08/2011)
