This excellently crafted yixing teapot was made in the early 1900's from good quality 'Qing Shui Ni' clay. The workmanship is excellent, with a good balance, excellently rounded belly and smooth water pour.
The lid fit is excellent, smooth to turn with just the slightest of drip from the lid, but not a problem at all during use.
The clay is high fired, with medium thin walls & would make an excellent pot for young sheng puerh or medium roasted oolongs.
